Terms of Use
Last updated: June 27, 2026
These terms govern your use of Contractor License Proof(the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
What the Service is
The Service is a free, informational directory that surfaces California contractor license information from the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) public record. It is not legal advice and is not affiliated with the CSLB or the State of California.
Accuracy and no warranty
License information reflects the CSLB public record as of the date shown on each profile and may not reflect the most current status. Always confirm a license directly with the CSLB before relying on it. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
No endorsement
A listing or badge on this site is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any contractor. The “Licensed” status reflects the CSLB public record only. You are responsible for your own due diligence before hiring.
Quote requests
If you submit a quote request, we may share your details with relevant licensed contractors so they can contact you. We do not guarantee that any contractor will respond, and we are not a party to — and not responsible for — any agreement, work, or dispute between you and a contractor.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including scraping or bulk- harvesting data, attempting to disrupt the site, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Contractor License Proof and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any information it provides.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
